It All Started With One Unexpected “YES.”

My journey into pageantry didn’t begin with a lifelong dream - it began with a phone call. One day, my oldest daughter called and told me she had signed three generations of our family—herself, me, and my granddaughter—up for a pageant. I laughed, thinking it would simply be something fun we would do together.

I had no idea that one unexpected "yes" would become the beginning of an entirely new chapter.

What started as a single experience became a journey that transformed my confidence, deepened my sense of purpose, expanded my heart for service, and introduced me to an incredible community. Along the way, I discovered something I never expected: reinvention has no age limit, and purpose has no expiration date.

Today, Accidentally Crowned is about much more than pageantry. It is a reminder that our lives can change the moment we choose courage over comfort and say yes to something we never saw coming.
